Uncancel your travel plans 6

Egypt, Greece, Borneo, Prague, Lakshadweep, Sundarbans, Ajanta and Ellora, Gir, Spiti – any guesses what is common to all these destinations ?

These are places I had lusted for, dreamt about, planned every moment of my visit there, combed guide books about them, fought with the husband for budgets, bugged him to take leave, applied for visa, even booked tickets and finally cancelled them.

I can write an epic on destinations that have been jinxed. Egypt, I remember was because of political reasons.  I dont  remember the reasons why the others  were cancelled. The husband’s super boss landed once without any warning. I fell sick a couple of times. The budgets went haywire once. And the usual story was “Something else came up !”

My heart always sinks whenever I press that cancel button.Call it a superstition or whatever, I have often realized that once cancelled, these destinations have never really worked out for me again. Which is why I promised myself that I will never cancel a trip again.  Given a choice I will now “Uncancel” it.

Make My Trip has launched a Uncancel option, where you can now reschedule your tickets rather than cancel it.  Watch this video to know more.

The process is fairly simple – you can just reschedule it to another date and this way, you can also protect yourself from price hikes. If you want to know more about the feature, just read here So next time you have a change of heart or your boss throws water on your plans, do not cancel your plans. Just Uncancel it.
